Nintendo Direct on October 6th for Mario Movie

Visually it looks great. I can only imagine a Mario game with these visuals.

Mixed feelings on Jack Black, but overall sounds good.

Chris Pratt largely just sounds like Chris Pratt.

Oh gosh it's so uncanny.

Was ok imo with Bowser. Felt like a standard animation movie with a Mario theme.

Then Mario himself showed up and I was horrified. Why did they make him so realistic yet so squishy?

didn't realize anya taylor-joy was in this movie.   guess i have to watch it now. 


just a teaser trailer to not much to judge it i guess.  all i can say is i wish nintendo's games came even close to this level of production values.

Watching this makes me a bit bitter to be honest.

As someone who grew up with Nintendo and started gaming playing Mario, its just bit upsetting to see how good this looks, and what could have been if Nintendo wasn't so adamant on using old as technology.

They can still milk their consumers dry, but I really would have loved to see a Nintendo that cared about pushing technology forward and having their games be cutting edge technology wise. This provides a glimpse of what could have been

i actually agree with that.   bowser didn't really should like jack black,.. it sounded like bowser or something.   but with mario,.. it sounded like chris pratt doing a bad impression of a racist take of an Italian accent.

yeah his line at the end was a little cringe.

I probably would have never thought it was jack black if I didn't already know he was voicing bowser.

Mario's design looked slightly off to me. To scratch the itch in my brain I tried to paint over Illumination's design to make him look a bit more "Mario-y" : gaming
