Because if so, that could be a huge money maker for them. If they can compete with steam and sell even third party games on PC then this could be very big for playstation revenue wise
Nah, just seems to be links to the other stores.

But they're clearly continuing to make PC a bigger focus.
Would be curious if they end up making a PC store though.

If they are pushing their games on PC, it only makes sense for them to do a store.

a store front with benefits like ps+ premium makes sense.  cross buy with consoles would gaurentee some lvl of success.

not a replacement for steam but at least a justified existence.

There were apparently some references to a "PlayStation PC launcher" in the Spiderman game that just launched.

Curious to see if they would go big with it

Doubt they'd make their own store anytime soon. Microsoft had lots of issues with their pc store and learned to just be happy with steam.

Instead I'd expect Sony to just push Epic's store.

I would guess it's because it's easy to make a zombie movie.

And at this point, it's kind of starting to feel like they're making more movies faster than they're making new games....

They're like the netflix meme. Just greenlighting everything.

I feel like Sony has a relatively small, stable of studios.

But I think they overall have some of the most prestigious studios. I think most of the other publishers are lucky to have two really really good studios.

Sony has ND, Insomniac, Santa Monica.

when was the last time Sony released an outright bad game?   feels like it's been forever.  I remember quite a few duds back in the PS3 era but pretty much every PS4 release was good.

when was the last time MS released a really good game ...

The last bad first party title from Sony was probably Knack (debatable).

(Feel like Knack gets too bad of a rap.  The game isn't great or anything, but it's not a horrible title.)

Some of their published titles haven't been as great. But on the whole their first party studio round up is pretty great on average.

Firesprite and Sony London are arguably their worst studios.

and knack was a launch title for PS4.

I tried it and didn't care for it much.  it didn't know what it wanted to be.

it had a very kiddy cosmetic.
the gameplay was rather simplistic.
...but then it was hard as nails difficulty.

not a good game for kids. not a good game for adults.

I could maybe make an argument for destruction all stars.

the game wasn't fun but it was polished as hell.
