Pen and paper notes are pretty fun when playing the right game, agreed?

Notes were a big thing in FEZ: FEZ notes


I take notes in general for dev reasons, but I love when a game really encourages you to essentially build your own guide while you play.

I'm a big puzzle game fan.  it's the only genre where needing to have a pen and pencil is considered a good thing but yes...

I had half a notebook filled for fez and that was a good indication of a great game.

I'm at around 6 pages for Tunic but I'm kinda stopping. I think all the other FEZ nostalgia tricked me into thinking it's that type of game.

For Hapax I always go back and forth between which tools should be included in the game and which should be up to players. Some games like Her Story have a notepad but those don't work on consoles.

I can't imagine someone reaching a main ending without writing down/screenshotting at least something.
