Halo: The Master Chief Collection - Steam Charts

This morning MCC had more concurrent players than Halo Infinite. Halo Infinite is free...

Normally Halo Infinite is ahead by a small amount which is already super damming but maybe next week MCC will regularly beat it.

Infinite has higher peak hours but lower lows.

sure. so what I'm seeing is infinite is still about 3x more popular in America but they are tied in china.

Halo Infinite season 2 doesn't launch till May 3rd. I'd bet MCC beats it every hour of the day pretty soon.

you may be right but its a phallic victory.   peak hours not getting past 10k on a f2p game is pretty sad...

Done. Full 24 hours with MCC on top.

It's super sad. Infinite might be doing better on xbox but on steam it's looking like a failure.

so many claim it's doing just fine on Xbox.  by what metric is that claimed?  is there so little to play they have no other choice but to play a bad game?

Well kind of.

for the record,.. this is exactly what has me worried about sony's push into GaaS.

with infinate a f2p title it is all but certain this was a financial disaster.   i know games like fortnight are very, very profitable but the market can't sustain too many successful f2p titles and the ones that do succeed tend to maintain its dominance for a long time.  the rest are a massive failure,.. even worse than things like anthem.

i guess maybe sony will just go the GT7 route and put GaaS into a pay to play title.  ...but the next fortnight comes along only once every 5-10 years it seems.

I've had a tab open tracking Halo players since launch lol.

Been funny seeing reddit threads discussing this with tons of random comments thinking it's old news.

Has any massive gaas launched in an amazing state? Sony needs to just make "cheap" GaaS games that have an army of developers ready to support them.

i'm not a mp guy so i'm not sure if this is "good" or not.  a pretty boring video to me as it highlights nothing but visuals and they are average at best.  enough to bring anyone back?

2 new maps will bring people back for a few days imo but it doesn't really change anything. Crazy that after 6 months this is all that's ready.

don't you mean we should be celebrating 343's lack of a toxic crunch environment?

;D

I find 343 kind of baffling. Huge studio with lots of collaborations, and still having trouble with making content?
