that chart is labeled "console SOFTWARE market share"

I guess it depends on how you define that.  is that by revenue or by unit sales.  when Forza horizon manages to get 20 million downloads do we count all those??

if revenue or only unit sales form purchased I think Ms loses market share.  if gamepass downloads contribute to "unit sales" I think MS's projected market share is too low.

Heh I could still sell the series x for a decent profit

I will say. It's kinda crazy how not next gen halo infinite looks on series x. Like for a flagship title I was expecting more. But it still looks and runs great.  Gameplay feels great.

Also I really do love the sticks on the series x controller

Not the asymmetry of them but they are really smooth in movement

Maybe I'll feel different about halos graphics when I get outside on the ring

i've heard good things about hyper light drifter but i've never gotten around to playing it.   the move to 3D is interesting.

Solar Ash was probably much nicer to develop.

I think Sony owns ~5.1% of Epic Games' shares.

still a big nothing.   this is defensive if anything.   no one wins if unreal goes first party.  i'd actually feel pretty good if MS and nintendo also held on to a piece of that pie.

This has nothing to do with PlayStation. :P

It's a Sony Group stake. Presumably because Epic is useful for movies, games, everything.

Unreal engine is amazing. It reached a point where it can make full fledged movies and have them look great, while rendering at a very fast pace

Sure pixar level quality movies and high end CGI will still be done by traditional software and methods. But a lot of 3D videos, commercials, profiles, ads will use unreal going forward.

not just making animated movies though.  i watched a piece on how disney's mandalorian and their use of "virtual sets" instead of greenscreens.  was super cool to see what they are doing to make movies/shows these days.
