GTAVI will be hot. GTAV is a ps3 game so that's at least 2 generational jumps.

Hang on though - isn't GTA online free for everyone? Since when do you pay for that?

i just need TT to formally announced GTA VI for playstation so that when MS buys them they are forced to also release on playstation and thus the "value" of the acquisition is delayed for 15 years when GTA VII releases.

What's left for GTA to do?

It's been 2 generations but outside of better graphics, I'm not sure how they'll evolve the gameplay.

based on the 3rd person games that have released since GTA V:
- climbing mechanics like in uncharted
- a crafting system like in TLoU
- super powers like in infamous
- swords like in GoT
- a boy to boss around like in GoW

Well they always surprise us. They could expand it massively tbh, make the city more fluid and lifelike, let you go to space or some shame.
