ms can't revoke a license a customer purchased.  they are legally required to honor all contracts from the company being purchased and purchasing a game is a legally binding transaction.

ms can't revoke fallout 76 either and they are basically bound to supporting it since it is an online game.  fallout 5, however, is going exclusive.
They made a new Minecraft game though, multiplat.

1.) Companies can pull their game from stores for future sales. Try buying Driveclub.

2.) He's also talking about Minecraft Dungeons.  A new game by MS that published on Switch and PS4.  MS also released Ori on Switch before the XSX came out.

MS also released a new version of Minecraft for PSVR last year.

At least in the case of Minecraft, MS knows that the franchise is too big to keep exclusive and should be on everything it can release on.

The closest franchise to that, is Elder Scrolls.  Whether it's too big to keep exclusive, it's hard to say.

Going forward, I think Fallout and TES might be multiplatform.

There's a chance.  They are big franchises.

A thing to keep in mind is that Bethesda has had difficulty monetizing some of their franchises.  That's why Skyrim gets ported to everything.  They don't have microstransactions to keep them going.

It matters less with MS's backing but at the end of the day MS's primary goal is to make money.  And it feels to me the past few years, MS is using good graces as a way forward.  Gamers give them credit for their BC, and other things.

I'm not going to be terribly disappointed if it doesn't end up happening.  I'm just saying there's a chance that people will be surprised.

There are basically 3 or 4 different scenarios that are effectively in line with MS's long term goals.  Which scenario is the safest is anyone's guess.

I'm hyped for what will probably be a pretty boring bit of info lol. Bethesda is one of my top 10 favorite publishers, right up there with Sony and Annapurna and Nintendo and EA and Paradox and Frontier and Xbox and Ubisoft (games only) and Focus Home Interactive.

Can you even think of 50?

I had to use wikipedia just to find 10.

I thought Focus Home Entertainment gave it away.

This interview is already fun. Glad Todd's Microsoft plug was mocked.
