Sucks cause I wanted to enjoy the game but very obviously the right move unless they were making gold.

dang. I liked the basis of what they had.  But they just royally iced it up make it as a service game.

i'm surprised at the number of people who seems to be disappointed by this news.  after how bad the first one did in sales and in reviews i would think most people's responses would be along the lines of "good riddance" but most people seem to think EA could have salvaged the franchise.

From reviews, a big problem with the first game was a lack of content.
The general impression was that there was some great gameplay, but that the game kind of kept you away from it.

yup exactly.  I really enjoyed the gameplay, but the missions and mission structure was pretty terrible overall
