When will series x get a second big exclusive game?

I have to agree with kitler here, the only reason Scorn has done any decent metrics so far is that it was one of the least boring games at that awful xbox May showcase when people were starved for next gen footage. I would not call it a big game by any kind of measure.

I guess the point is...

Oh someone said it already.

Quote from: Legend on Feb 07, 2021, 06:52 AMI put the asterisk there for people like you!  ::)

I'm not sure if the asterisk does what you think it does.

As a "second 'big' game", sure it might be Scorn.

As a first actually big title, Halo, Forza, Hellblade 2, whichever comes first.

This is also true, XBS hasn't even had one big game yet. The Medium has its size in the title.

I don't think PS5 has had a big big game yet either, both Demon's and Miles are definitely big games but both have caveats; Demon's is a remake of a PS3 game and Miles is a smaller scope game also on last gen.

Yeah if yall wanna view big as gargantuan, then we are in agreement on the games and just in disagreement on words.

Halo Infinite will definitely be its first "big" game by that perspective. Horizon Forbidden West will probably be PS5's first "big" game, unless GOW releases first or a new game is announced and released.

I dont think 4-5 million counts as gargantuan anymore.

I would argue Ratchet is a big game. Basically any new full scope AAA game that's given a big marketing push by publisher. That's why I say I'd class Miles and Demon's as big games but I can see arguments against that. Upcoming announced "big" exclusives for PS5 are R&C, HFW, GT7, GOW2, FF16. Deathloop and Ghostwire I could see an argument for also, but need to see launch marketing push for them and the actual scope of the games.

On the Xbox side: Halo Infinite, Forza, Fable, Avowed, Hellblade 2, Everwild.

In the same argument of The Medium and Scorn not being "big", I'm saying Sackboy, Astro, Destruction Allstars and Returnal aren't "big".

I guess if you're asking for any game that Xbox will push and advertise at least a little bit, the next may well be Scorn. I guess Halo is the only other one actually aiming for 2021, there's barely any XBS exclusives announced.

I think that is more or less it.

It has to be Scorn right? It and Halo Infinite are the only things that should release this year.
Basically agreeing with you here. Scorn is a real odd-one-out in this list though, well As Dusk Falls sticks out too. I guess this is the equivalent list to including loads of stuff like Returnal and Kena for PS5.

haha none of this matters but Horizon 2, Halo Infinite, and Ragnarok will sell way more than 4-5 million copies. Hence me calling them gargantuan.

I was responding to the first bit.

Forza only sells 3-5 million, and yet it is pretty much always on the big games list.  I wouldn't call that gargantuan.

Also Halo isn't as big as it used to be.  It's not likely the 10 million seller it used to be.  Especially with Gamepass.

When people make lists of exclusives in 5 oror 6 years, is Scorn or The Medium going to be on the list for Xbox?  I don't know if that will be the case.

You forgot about Astro. That game sold like 4.5 million units already.

Forza has been growing. I think Horizon 4 is massive, we don't know sales but its way over 10 million players. FH4 might actually be xbox's biggest game ever, only Halo at its peak would compete.

And yeah for sure, people will forget games like Scorn and The Medium very quickly, unless Scorn turns out to be something crazy.
