so is microsoft doing like sony where its only online ordering and then pickup?  Cause it doesn't give me the option to add to cart and checkout.  But it says theres 5 left in the walmart like 5 miles from me

I read that larger stores are online only, smaller stores are in person. Would assume walmart was online only.

but if my small town walmart has 5 i'm not sure they will sell out.  Not a town where very many people just up and blow $500

If it's online, people from outside your town will buy and drive in. I bet it sells out within the first 15 minutes

just checked my target and walmart stores and no stock for either x or s within 20 miles (~dozen stores).

i think you need to be prepared to prostitute yourself if you want one before xmas.   i know that's the only reason i'm looking for one..

I picked up another controller at best buy this morning. Think I saw 4 people pick up series x and a few more try to walk in and order. No one had series s.

Also, jeez Series X is tiny. I don't know if it's just because I'm used to larger systems as of late, but the display at best buy made it look cute.

I think it's pretty clear MS went to an extent to try making it look smaller than it is.  Like the split board.  

I think it will look chunky next to another console on its side, but I'm sure standing up by itself, it won't look too big.
