I have never played any games from these franchises:

- halo
- assassin's creed
- grand theft auto
- minecraft
- fornight
- tekken
- metal gear solid (and no i'm not including the metal gear snes game which i did play)
- elder scrolls
- madden
- fifa
- star craft
- counter strike
- fallout
- half life  (and yes i bought the orange box only to play portal)
- final fantasy
- i'm going to say pokemon even though that's a bit of a cheat.  i bought platinum and threw it away after about 6 hours.  it was horrible.
- crash bandicoot
- red dead


bonus round.  until the remasters on ps4 i had never played:

I don't think anything in this thread is too surprising, pretty much every game is missed by the vast majority of gamers.

The only time I've ever touched 2D Mario was the Wii U version, and that was just for a few minutes at a friend's house.

World of Warcraft (I don't play MMO much and I preferred the series when it was high fantasy RTS. I would much prefer if they made a SP RPG in that universe than a grind fest, life leeching MMO...)

That game is so essential though. Playing the original is like a prerequisite to being a real game dev.

Well I never played the original. In fact I only played the 3DS and Wii 2D marios and didn't like either. I played 'em though.
