Worst case, very fast reliable wireless connections to the internet and Bluetooth devices.
Best case, wireless VR.

okay, so better connection of the devices i'm already using.  maybe higher quality audio.  but generally speaking i still basically have access to a headset and such.

i guess i was hoping for more features.   i have a really expensive nice sony head set i use for my phone that when my ps4 specific headset died i was really disappointed to find out i couldn't use them with ps4.   not sure why i couldn't but i feel like it ought to have been supported especially since it is sony's headset.

pairing to my phone is also a thing that feels like it ought to be supported better than it is.   also not sure what the hold up is there but screen casting can't be that hard.

PS4 needs an adapter for Bluetooth. You can use them by connecting them to the ds4 though

This very well could open the door to these things.  

Supposedly Sony held back on Bluetooth support because of latency. This has far less latency, so they might open up support.

i don't blame sony for maintaining marketing focus on games to avoid the whole "tv tv tv sport sport sports!" problem xbox one had at launch...

...but at the same time my playstation is the center piece of my living room.  consoles are, imo, the best way to watch streaming services like netflix.   but playstation at least is lacking in some of the features that apple tv/chrome cast do better like supporting music services, displaying photos, screen casting.

i know it's not games but i really, really want support for:
 - iOS and android screen casting
 - amazon music
 - google photos


a selfish wish list i know but those are the services i use.
