Really disappointed that we're getting shoehorned RPG mechanics in yet more games.

I've barely played any of the batman games, but this sure felt like the DC take on Square Enix's Avengers game. Not what I was expecting.


Also the game demo did the annoying thing where the other player disappears during cutscenes.

Yeah it looks good to me, a much better first impression than Avengers. But I'm very wary, it seems they're copying a lot of new AC style mechanics which I hate. Co-op could make up for it though and a dense city rather than huge empty map is better by default.

Arkham Knight was similar. There were levels for upgrading tech.

There's also supposed to be a Suicide Squad game coming.

It might be a little strange to see two very similar games...

Yeah both 4 player co op games prob.

But damage numbers and the voiceover spoke of what sounds like RPG style attack and defence stats that improve with levels. Enemies have levels which has the classic problem that I've discussed before. That's the stuff that just doesn't need to be in a game like this.
