In that case he's devastated with xbox sales. Firesale and it still couldn't beat the ps4 which was way down.

Lol what's wrong with you? I was commenting on the difference in deals, and said Sony's deals are disastrous since they're only £30 off, which is by far their worst BF offering yet. I was talking from a consumer perspective. Obviously as it turned out, loads of people bought PS4s anyway, but they payed more than people did one and two years ago to get those PS4s. And I was more shocked about PS4 deals compared to previous years and said that was the worst part. And as it turned out there I was right, PS4 was way down YOY.

In my immediate reaction to the deals I said "PS4 is gonna get wrecked" but I quite quickly realised that PS4 was still doing very well and that wouldn't be the case. I didn't actually care who 'won' or 'lost' the week, that was just my reaction to the deals I saw. I was also questioning why their strategy was so different compared to the US when they're such similar markets.

And anyway, seems pretty rich from someone who says stuff like this:

Ah I see, personal insults, that's what's wrong. I made an initial prediction which I soon realised to be wrong and I admitted that, we've all done that before. But you're still dismissing all the good arguments I was making and questions I raised.

Well of course I know that, games are the most important thing all year round. But as Benji on Era was saying, the majority of buyers on BF don't care about most games, they're the COD/ fifa/ madden lot who just want the cheapest console. And with XB1 being £90 better value, you can't say it was a crazy prediction to think it would win. Thanks to its game's lineup, PS4 is obviously winning the rest of the year, but this week I thought would be different, and yes I was wrong with that, but I was right about PS4 deals being bad and it being way down YOY.

Exactly, I don't know why he's making such a big deal out of this. I was never panicking about anything, nor am I devastated or ecstatic about any of the sales. I literally just made two posts right after UK BF deals were revealed, basically saying I'm shocked XB1 is £90 better value - and then said I thought PS4 would get wrecked, which was obviously wrong - and that Sony have made PS4 have £40 worse value than two years ago, when they're going crazy in the US with value. I said that wasn't a pro consumer move and that it would lead to PS4 being down YOY, which is true.

Neither of those were predicting doom or showing any signs of panic, I just couldn't believe that Sony is making PS4 more and more expensive in the UK, because that's something I've never seen before.

And anyway like you said, I can't be bothered with this discussion any more and we should move on. I'm tired of two posts getting called out for no real good reason, while the rest of my posts raising good discussion got completely ignored.

These two are not remotely comparable. Old slang words, which are outdated and offensive when used, being popular where you're from doesn't mean its okay to use them. The whole point is to move on with times and drop words like these. You don't see me going around calling everything "gay" and saying that's okay, since that's an extremely popular thing to say here.

You should say stupid instead of retarded, and if people have mental illnesses then in no circumstance should you refer to them as "retarded", these people suffer mentally enough without such verbal abuse.

Only other early BF report we got last year was Sony saying its their biggest BF ever. That was released on monday, and we obviously have nothing yet so I guess this year was smaller than last year, which would make sense anyway. Doubt we'll hear anything else.
