Shyamalan has been building his own cinematic universe.
Didn't realize split was connected to it

I saw the new Jurassic World. I actually ended up liking it a fair bit. It was stupid and started hilariously bad but maybe ~30 minutes into the film it started coming together. Enjoyed it more than the first one and Coco.

I also saw Coco. Man am I just not a fan of modern Pixar's art choices. I was annoyed with how generally animated the movie was but once it moved over to the spirit world I started to like it. Probably the best Pixar film I've seen in a long time. I enjoyed the story and could see why people thought it was sad but personally it wasn't.

My mum had the same opinion. She really liked the first JW and thought it was a great film. She said this one was bad but in a funny and enjoyable way.

Well at least you thought Coco was Pixar's best in a while, that I can agree with. I guess you're just not a big fan of Pixar, I thought Coco was fantastic.

I watched a movie called The Endless.  SOO GOOD!

Go in blind if you ever watch it.  It's a mind bender.  Not particularly hard to understand, but really cool idea

Oh also The Signal is pretty good too

I should go through and rewatch all the old Pixar classics. I do wonder if nostalgia is the primary reason why I thought they were great yet the modern stuff is good to bad.

Although one specific complaint for modern Pixar is that they don't know what to do with the power of modern computers. They keep trying to get more and more photorealistic yet it just doesn't mesh with their caricature like humans. One reason I liked Coco was probably because so much of the movie was with skeletons in a stylized word and there wasn't a disonense.

I guess I don't mind their visuals.

I think you are overrating the earlier ones.  I really liked them, but Inside Out, I would say I liked much more than a few of their earlier movies.

Yeah, I love the incredibles but apart from that I prefer their new stuff.

Doesnt mention toy story.
I feel pretty comfortable putting Inside Out with those.  (I know Legend will especially disagree)

I wanna wait a few years with Coco.  Feels too new to really put along with them.

Toy story 1-3 minus 2 kinda is a given

And yeah inside out was great. Probably would've been even better if I was still a kid when I saw it

I'm actually not that big on Toy Story. I didn't like them as a kid, can't really remember why. I watched them again fairly recently and thought they were good, but its not the same. Coco, Inside out and Incredibles are my top 3 pixar movies. Hopefully Incredibles 2 comes close for me. I also need to rewatch Wall-E, think I only saw it once, it might be #4 ahead of Dory/ Nemo.

the-pi-guy

Am I still thr only one who's seen Incredibles 2?  Haven't seen anyone else mention watching it.

That'd be weird if I was, I'm usually the last to do so.

Xev probably has another 10 days yet.
