It was good fun but nothing special. I thought most people who watched it would enjoy it and recommend it to people, so I was expecting much better legs than this.

Seems Solo's drop will be 65% in its second weekend. Not quite as bad as TLJ (67%), although TLJ's second weekend was considered to be pretty terrible... so yeah. Overseas drop was better for Solo.

Infinity War is holding well now, overseas still doing extremely well. Made about $35m globally this weekend and is only $35m away from 2 billy now.

Infinity War is showing some strong late legs. If it wasn't for Deadpool 2, it probably would have made it past TFA for #3 all time. A shame.

Its funny too, because Deadpool 2 was supposed to launch this last weekend but moved back to be ahead of Solo. Little did they know, Solo would flop hard and it would have been better for them to have launched the week after Solo rather than 3 weeks after IW.

I thought it was very good entertainment but easy to pick apart.

One thing that really annoyed me

Was that the girl was actually good looking. I mean come on, it would have been great if she wasn't attractive for some reason yet he loved her anyway. But all she had was a slight bit of red skin, and looked great.

Wow. Annihilation is amazing.

I'd put it above Arrival but maybe that'll change after I've had more time to reflect. Visually it might be the best looking movie I've ever watched, even above Avatar.

I just watched Annihilation as well. Easily the best looking movie I've seen all year. The set design was amazing, especially considering how they basically had to handcraft entire forests for a lot of the scenes.

Is your TV properly calibrated?

I'd imagine HDR should make dark scenes more visible. Or maybe my tv is the one that's messed up.

It does like a film I'd like actually, I love some good visuals. Maybe I'll watch it after my exams.

Calibrated by me using plenty of online instructions yeah. Well hdr will make dark scenes darker but it shouldn't ruin the detail. Maybe the movie was just supposed to be really dark at times.

BTW, I liked the movie but wasn't overly impressed

I actually just watched it last saturday!  I loved it.  Loved the score at the last bit of the movie.
