I'm still not sure what to think of QB... :/ TR means little to nothing to me as I'm not a fan of the series... so MS didn't really have anything to offer me as a consumer other than SO bundle

Thanks for reminding me.

MOD NOTE:

We're having a lot of Sony VERSE Microsoft discussion in this and the other thread. That's fine, but we don't need two places for it. I'm making a thread specifically for it. Not going to bother moving over posts, just post your thoughts again if you feel the need.
Why did I laugh at this XD

No problem I suppose.

But yes, the other thing which really impressed me was the 10m sellthrough. That was a little unexpected

My post in the verse thread just made me think. We didn't see Sony's big games for the next year (up to e3) because we've already seen enough of them so there's no need. That is, apart from Bloodborne, we haven't seen enough of that yet. This leads me to think that there must be Bloodborne details/ gameplay at TGS otherwise it will release without having enough hype. It would make a lot of sense too considering its made in Japan. Bloodborne is pretty much a lock for TGS then, what else do we expect to see there?

The Last Guardian. FFXV. Maybe KH3. Deep Down. New games from smaller devs. Persona 5 PS4 port

You're over-thinking this. These companies don't need to rely solely on major events to push games. Look what happened when the multiplayer trailer for Call of Duty was shown the day before the Gamescom conferences. The game shot up the sales charts. Bloodborne already has had plenty of attention in the short time we've known about it and with what little we've seen of it. There will also be articles written about it from those who get to play it or at least watch it be played. Sony could easily release additional details of the game over time including media blowouts where they announce things like release date, pre-order bonuses, and numbers to video game therapy hotlines when the game turns you into a sadomasochist. They could also go on a marketing campaign for it if they think it's worth it. Not to mention the game may very well be releasing at a time when there is little competition so it would likely sell well by default anyways.
