Do you think cinematic games can have good gameplay?

I think I began noticing this attitude around the time of Uncharted 2's launch.
I've seen a lot of people dismissing "cinematic" game's gameplay, assuming it's bad on the basis of being cinematic.

I've seen it with Uncharted games, God of War, The Last of Us, etc.

It's been a little frustrating for me, because I legitimately feel that some of these games have better gameplay than some games that are touted as being gameplay over cinematic.

What are your thoughts on "cinematic" games and gameplay?

It was a legit question/concern around Uncharted 2 since it was still new and people didn't know how to feel about it. Nowadays every big budget game tries to be cinematic and it's mostly just used as a dismissive term by fanboys.

Sad thing is, they all fail.  Like, at being cinematic.  Sony is probably the only publisher/developers that actually get it right now.
