Its either almost matching or beating TFA everywhere right now, plus Asia is much, much bigger for Marvel than Star Wars. About half of that difference will come from China, the rest from places like South Korea, Thailand, India.

All time domestic Saturday record is about to be decimated. Previous best is Jurassic World/ The Avengers at $69m (TFA got $68m). Infinity War is going to come in at around $82m. With that, TFA's opening weekend record looks like its going to be taken.

And there it is. Projected $250m domestic opening, just taking the record from TFA. And Overseas opening is estimated at $380m (!) which would be an opening woldwide of $630m. That's a new record by over $90m WITHOUT the help of China.

Well they had to have a very well received movie do it to a less well received one.

Disney went way under with IW. They projected Saturday as $61m (new record) for 250 total, whereas it's actually going to come in over 70. Another record obliterated, and in the end the OW record wasn't even close with TFA, will beat it be over 12m.

Infinity War has finally come in at $258m domestic (new record by $10m over TFA) and $640m WW (new record by $99m over Fast 7). Nice.

Mother of fudgy god. It made $60m overseas on Monday, $25m domestic. The domestic number is extremely impressive (that's a drop you'd normally see in summer, not just a normal school day). That global total though is absurd. Its hurtling towards $1bn already, total is $725m.

And holy fudge, Black Panther was only down 6% from last Monday. 700m domestic is locked now.
