Just to add to this: Nintendo Switch will likely surpass the Wii U by March. 1 years of sales to beat 4 years of Wii U sales. Wowza.

Switch and PS4 are definitely showing consoles aren't dead yet.
Portables on the other hand, leave much to be desired. (And are probably dead.)

Mind, Final Fantasy XV might overtake it soon given they're at about the same number.

Keep in mind Nintendo projected 16.7 Million by end of March. Most analysts think they could past that and maybe close in on 18-19 Million(which would be insane for a 1st year console).
