This is the first eclipse in mainland US since 1979, and the first one across an entire band in the US since 1918.

yes unless you have really good timing.

I was planning to drive north but it's way too crowded and I'm too busy. The 21st is also VizionEck LLC's 4th birthday!

Wtf, they said miami ok was the best place to view it in the united states. But that site says i need to trave 200 miles away to get the best view.

Not gonna be a good place to look at it for me lol - I'll have a partial eclipse :(!

Well it's not like it's changed.  You have to get solar eclipse glasses.

Hmm wonder if I'll need glasses here in the UK where its just about in the visible zone. I remember the last one happened when I was in college and our science department provided the filters to use, even though they weren't needed.

I think they are gone pretty much everywhere now.  Amazon is selling them for like 30$ or more.  

There was a list of like 80 sites.  I checked like the first 30, and only 2 of them had any.  
30$ a piece for one.
