The raffle this past month was nice.

5 members participated with 23 raffle tickets combined.

The winner this month lucked out with just 30% of the tickets...

All. Otherwise the raffle ticket count would rapidly balloon and the ratio between members would hardly change.

Indeed. I wonder how many tickets one could gather without winning the raffle. Imagine getting to 99 tickets having never won lol

And what happens when (if) we have a lot of members, and still only one person can win a week. It'll go a bit crazy then.

It balances itself out. Winners will on average have ~23 tickets and everyone will on average have ~12 tickets. The amount of members involved doesn't matter.

It'd take roughly 10 thousand years for it to be likely that a person ever reaches 99 tickets without winning, assuming raffle tickets were won randomly.
