I have a burning rage for the camera operators and editor. Who's bright mind was it to keep showing the audience being board? Everyone else was really good with cameras and Sony managed to have one of their worst.

No big new announcements.

Lots of stuff looked great and now I'm really hyped for spiderman but man did I dislike that show.

Wasn't their worst but far from the last two years. What I really don't understand is that if you had just that to show then why did you not just include Knack 2, Matterfall, and Gran Turismo Sport along with all of your smaller titles you announced in the pre-conference? Seems a little silly to me.

Quote from: Raven on Jun 13, 2017, 02:19 AMNow the question becomes, will Sony skip a European conference again this year and just wait until PSX? Also, will they have a decent showing at TGS? Last year Sony got away with that easy because of how awesome E3 was for them.
I don't think anybody's coming back to Gamescom.

...but... the beer... and the babies....

And yes the camera work annoyed the shame out of me too.

I don't even want to know, what you're doing with babies.

Lol okay.
Cause Watchdogs and Division played like their first trailers showed right?

Yeah exactly.

Microsoft had squat to show yet they went out there and found interesting games to present anyway. Meanwhile Sony just acted oblivious to the situation.

Don't even get me started on The Crew and how badly Ubisoft has screwed up the last few Ghost Recon and Assassin's Creed games. Starting to think Far Cry is the only franchise they have that they've been consistent with.

Doesn't mean they were crud though. They've pretty much stopped doing that now and it didn't really happen often before.

Ubisoft have got so much better in the last few years, might be the best big game company out there right now

Yeah I forgot to mention that Unity was released in the state it was in.  But pretty much what you're saying.  Far Cry and maybe Splinter Cell are the only thing they haven't screwed up.

I don't know if Ubisoft has gotten better and they really have nothing on Sony...  No company does.

I'd argue Splinter Cell. We're probably looking at, at least, 5 years between the last one and the next one if the rumors are true. Kind of a gap for us to judge the Ubisoft of today and their ability to maintain a franchise when it comes to that one. Not to mention, sales of the last title were way below expectations. That doesn't say anything about THAT game's quality but it does show that something went down where Ubisoft didn't convince people to buy it and people seemed to have lost interest in the franchise until lately.

Still, I'm cautiously optimistic about Skull & Bones and Ancel being in charge of Beyond Good and Evil 2 makes me confident in it for some reason.

Well Sony are great but so many of their first party studios are just making third person games now, and they've shut down a few studios recently. They keep announcing games too early and their studios are taking way too long. And they seem to have completely stopped supporting indies at their conferences.

The quality is there most of the time for Sony in their games for sure though.

Post count is way short of the microsoft thread, and that's with the cheating with all the extra hours build up :P

If it was actually a full length conference then it would probably have been the highest.

I was completely quiet the whole time. I didn't want to miss anything and then, of course, something happened that forced me to step away anyways.
