Verge: Xbox E3 teasers contain hidden Project Scorpio messages (and sick PS4 burns) - NeoGAF

Quotehttps://www.theverge.com/2017/6/7/15...easer-trailers
QuoteMicrosoft has started posting E3 teaser videos for its Project Scorpio unveiling on Sunday. While the minute-long teasers look innocent, some of them include hidden messages. Twitter users have discovered that one particular teaser includes a “6>4” hidden next to a Ferris wheel. The 6 is greater than 4 message is clearly a references to the 6 teraflops of power in the Xbox Project Scorpio console compared to Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro with around 4 teraflops of power.

Let's get this console war GOIN'! Wooooo!
QuoteIn another teaser posted yesterday, there’s a message displayed on a stage with a crowd of people. Microsoft typically uses this type of date format for its Windows and Xbox software builds, so if you separate out the X10S to refer to the console, then the remaining 101317 could mean October 13th. Windows Central points out this is a Friday, a typical console release day. The X10S could mean anything, but it does come just a few days after Microsoft filed a trademark for a mysterious S logo that’s related to gaming.

A little more at the link.

Xbox 10 or Xbox 10 S. That's the name some people are expecting now.

Please don't be true, but at the very least "10" is showing up a lot in these ads.

I honestly just wish MS would make a "Steam" machine and be done with it.  If I didn't buy a GTX 1080, I'd buy a Windows spin on the Steam machines in a heart beat.

Why though? To be limited on a closed platform where you cant even upgrade or modify? lol

Steam Machines are pretty useless.

An equivalent PC is more expensive than a console.  The money you'd save you can spend over time. You'd also get the benefits of having a PC.  For instance I spent $2000 dollars on my PC over 6 years.  I spent 1000 on a ps3 and ps4 over the span of 10.  1400 if I bought a Pro which plays games almost as well as a higher end rig.  You have to also remember, upgrades are expensive and not really worth it until you have to change your rig again anyways.  I was lucky that processor tech slowed down, cause I'd have to have thrown my rig out instead of my GPU.  Never mind the fact that the smallest PC case that can house something decent is a kickstarter project that isn't available and the other cases are almost double the size of a ps4 Pro.  Real estate is precious underneath your T.V.

Steam Machines are modifiable and upgradeable.
They are literally regular PCs that are customized to be slim with an OS that works better with a controller.

You get what you paid for though with a full fledged PC.

For me, a full fledged PC is more worth it than a "Steam" machine since I do more than gaming on my PC.

A "Steam" machine wouldnt help me render videos or be a ideal platform for recording PC games either.

Really? Didnt know they were upgradeable lol

Thought they were closed down platforms similar to consoles/portables.

Dont Steam machines use Linux though or is it Windows?

If its Linux, thats a dealbreaker for me.

It uses linux.  It's supposed to bring more games over to Linux.

Yeah....thats a huge deal breaker for me.

Would cripple the number of games I can play from my 1,000+ steam library since not all games support Linux.

And I cant imagine what type of issues I would have with some of the other apps I use gaming and non-gaming wise.
