The only way a Fable MMO is happening and not having a release date of 2020 is if Microsoft contracted a third-party to make it several years ago while forcing Lionhead to work on Fable Legends.

Most console gamers today probably don't even know what Age of Empires is. Gonna be real hard to convince the Xbox crowd to be excited for that when they had a hard enough time generating interest in Halo Wars.

It'll be on PC!  Literally the only Microsoft game I could care about it.

That's still going to take years to retool the game's mechanics to an MMO format while having to fill in the wide gaps with brand new ones and I guarantee that they didn't have enough art assets for the kind of game they were making to fill an MMO. They'll need a lot more. Even if this is a thing, there's no way it isn't still at least 2 years from release, and that's being generous.

What's the actual source on these rumours? A lot of this just sounds like wishful thinking. The Borderlands 3 thing is something that Easyallies recently brought up as a thing MS could do to get people excited for Scorpio for instance. Seems kinda questionable that it would suddenly appear as a rumour in that thread.

It mostly is just wishful thinking. As far as I can tell, Microsoft buying IO and the Hitman franchise was just a "what if" scenario someone came up with and now a few people are trying to find an angle to talk about it as if it's happening. Last I heard, no one was interested in buying them.

Some "insiders" and stuff are coming out and saying MH port is real so people are using that to confirm the whole list.
