Quote from: Xevross on Apr 15, 2017, 09:11 PMBut what about pre order bonuses!?

What about people who get suckered in and buy a bad game just because of hype and preorder bonuses, which leads to bad games getting rewarded.  Ultimately killing off good games because they don't get bought, and killing off bad games because their sequels won't be bought.  What does this leave us with?  A man who has 60 fewer dollars than ever before, and an industry that falls apart because of his actions.
What can you do to stop this horror?  Stop preordering games.  Every preordered game ultimately leads us down this path of destruction until one day there is nothing left but sadness and bankruptcy.

Don't buy into the failure, wait until games get reviewed.

Why :(?

Its possible considering he came back during the comics (before they were deemed non-canon by Disney) that took place after Episode VI.

Because the game's multiplayer spans multiple eras. From the prequel trilogy, to the original, and then the two more recent episodes. The campaign itself is focused on an elite stormtrooper and what she goes through between episode 6 and episode 7, and possibly beyond that. I wouldn't get your hopes up that Darth Maul is somehow still alive. I mean, we could start speculating that Yoda is still alive based on the fact he appears to fight Darth Maul, but I think we can both agree that's not going to happen. Disney seems to be pretty intent on making way for new characters and their stories. Not bringing back a character who died in the one movie they starred in 18 years ago.

Darth Maul would be so out of place and honestly I would be upset if he just randomly turns up. Star Wars movies are serious and have a proper storyline, any kind of fan service like that would be completely out of place and would definitely make the movie worse. Same goes for the story of the game as well.

Having him just for multiplayer in BF2 is excellent imo, we get all of his awesomeness and there's no need for context
