I was actually thinking buys should double in price for each one. So the first is 500, then 1000 then 2000 and so on.

That would seriously suck. I don't know how they could fudge up that bad with the amount of time they had, specially with an established series like Mass Effect. I really hope it does well, because i honestly really enjoy the Mass Effect universe and love the lore.
