Here's the FDev I'm used to! Pretty standard for multicrew. One person controls the ship like normal, another can be in a fighter, and the third control turrets.

3rd person turret view is actually really cool. Makes it feel like a different game. Broadsides basically!

Oh this is an interesting thing I just thought of.

I've been thinking 3.0 would release this holiday since Elite releases on PS4 this summer. Obviously they couldn't release the game on PS4 and then release paid DLC a month later without angering people.

But what if the PS4 release includes 3.0 and that season by default?


2.4 is the last update in the Horizon's season and we know it's scheduled this summer. I was thinking that 3.0 would then be months later, but it's also possible they release simultaneously. This happened with 1.5 and 2.0. Update 1.5 added 6 ships to the game while 2.0 added planetary landing.

It's possible 2.4 will add alien ships and alien combat (which is cool but not that much content) while 3.0 could have basic space walks and on foot gameplay.



So 2.4, 3.0, and the PS4 port would all effectively release on the same day. I think that could be fairly likely, but it's also putting a lot of faith in Frontier delivering.
