Is it just me or The Clockwork Mansion in dishonored 2 a freaking awesome level, but absolutely horrible in enemy placement and design.  I can barely go around anywhere without there being 3-4 enemy's plus a couple clockwork soldiers around especially when I have to carry somebody out of the place.  It's just super annoying.  Plus I'm trying to do low chaos and just fudgy everybody up is not how I want to play it this play through. It just seems impossible to go through without killing anybody.  Maybe I just iced up at the beginning of the mission by letting jindosh see who I was.  It's making me not want to finish the game.

Ryzen sounds encouraging, especially when you put price into account.

I think Killer Instinct is done for in the competitive scene. It missed being the 9th game for EVO by quite a margin. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Pokken Tournament blew it out of the water in donation totals and number of donors. What was surprising was the significant lack of donations for Mortal Kombat X. And once again, Smash Bros gets two entries into EVO between Melee and Wii U. Personally, I think it's shaming that one franchise is taking two slots and that Smash Bros Melee continues to be a part of EVO.

Melee will never be stopped!

When was the last KI season released?

Well Season 3 released last year but they're adding onto it again. They just added a new character recently and they have plans for at least 3 more. So the game still has content coming for it. It's not like it's no longer being supported or there was some big gap.

Well maybe the sequel is coming soon?

They're making more content for the existing game and it looks like that's going to be stretched out for the better part of this year and there's been no indication of a sequel. Killer Instinct's place in the competitive scene has nothing to do with whether or not the company is supporting it or making a sequel. It has everything to do with the competitive players. A game doesn't drop out of EVO's lineup because of what the company that made it is doing. If that was the case Marvel vs Capcom would have been out a long time ago and Smash Bros wouldn't have two games from the same franchise in the lineup constantly.

Fighting games don't get actual sequels nearly as often as other genres do. Mostly because it's very difficult to be commercially successful and the games that stick in the competitive scene are usually around for years. Even if a Killer Instinct sequel were to come out soon, which would make it silly that they're creating new characters for the existing game, there's no guarantee it would even make the EVO lineup and end up with good competitive support. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 beat it for the 9th player choice slot with over 11 times more donation money and nearly 10 times more backers. That game has been around for ages. The FGC just doesn't have enough people that play at the pro level to support more than 10 games at a time. From what I heard, a lot of former KI pros have moved on to SF5 and KOF 14.

Killer Instinct never became a main stage type of game and it fizzled out after only 3 years. I'm actually a little upset about it because I'm a fan of the franchise and I was hoping it would get a legit sequel. Knowing Microsoft and how they've been with their games, they're not going to pony up the dough for one when the first game is being abandoned after what is a short time in the FGC and didn't succeed in becoming a pillar franchise for their brand.

Ubisoft are seriously being stupid with For Honors review's. not giving out reviewers copies early and letting them review and play the game at release like everybody else will result in a rushed reviews, each one trying to release a review as fast as possible so they can get more hits.

this game isnt a typical game, it has a rather new style of gameplay, and it takes time to learn it and actually get good at it. if reviews are rushed and they just play a few multiplayer games to try and judge the game, chances are they arent actually giving the game the shot it deserves and the time needed to actually learn the game well. which might end up in lower scored reviews.

And they will judge it negatively because Ubisoft treats them badly with this decision

Kerbal space program

Oh gosh, I finally completed a mission from Dres. Without cheats, I sent three astronauts to the surface and safely brought them back. This is by far my biggest accomplishment in the game. I'm in career mode.

To do this, I first had a space station orbiting Kerbin that acted as a fuel depot. My craft was a lander with a nuclear engine and a orange fuel tank docked in front of it. I go the craft in orbit around Kerbin, refueled at my space station, and then went off to Dres. Once I got there, I realised I forgot to put any data transmitters on the craft. Oops.

Circularized into a low orbit around the planet but had hardly any fuel left. My lander's tank was full but the orange tank was almost empty. Either way, I decoupled and dropped down to the planet. I had to reload a quick save over and over since my fuel margin was so low.

On the surface my three kerbals planted flags and did some science and then went back into the lander. I timed it well and rendezvoused with the tanker still in orbit, with just a fraction of the lander's fuel remaining.

Once in orbit, I realised I didn't technically need to bring the orange tank back with me. Some rough calculations without it showed I'd have just enough fuel left to get back to Kerbin. I tried plotting the maneuver myself but KSP glitched out and wouldn't show me the closest approach, so I had to install mechjeb for that.

Transferred as much fuel to the lander as I could, locked that fuel tank, and started my engine. After a few seconds the orange tanker ran out of fuel so I decoupled it and continued the burn. With a slight course correction in route, I was on target for a perfect intercept with Kerbin!

But then once I got there, I had major problems. I was coming in way too hot and would explode instantly when I hit the atmosphere. Plus I forgot to put a heat shield on the lander anyway. So after a lot of testing I realised it was impossible to do an aerocapture. Instead I came up with the plan of using another spaceship to catch the lander and slow it down.

My space station uses standardized fuel tank rockets that are reusable. At the time the station had three docked and two were 100% full. I decoupled the full ones and docked them together, then disabled the engine on the opposite one. Matched planes with the incoming lander and got into the largest elliptical orbit the game would let me. I also time synced the orbit to hit periapsis right before the lander hit it. I dropped off the empty fuel tank, matched speeds with the lander, and met up with it as it was flying away from Kerbal at 5,000 meters per second.

It wasn't until this point that I realised my "catching" craft didn't have anywhere close to enough delta v left to stop it. So I loaded up an old save and plotted a different transfer from Dres to kerbin. It used 99% of my fuel but shaved about 1,000 m/s off my speed at intercept. So then I repeated all the previous steps and caught it. Lowered its speed enough to get into an elliptical orbit around Kerbin. I really lucked out at this time and ended up having a naturally occurring gravity break with the Mun. I also had just enough fuel to get into a circular low Kerbin orbit. I tried landing but didn't have anywhere near enough fuel, so I had to dock with my space station again. This worked out great since I could drop off the science.

Then with a fully fueled lander I decoupled and dropped down into the atmosphere. It was a perfect approach and I was landing only a few hundred meters away from the space center, but I didn't fire the nuclear engine early enough and landed hot. Everything exploded but luckily the crew capsule survived. For a first attempt it was pretty good, but I knew I could do better.

After 20 more tries with every Kerbal dying, I really regretted not sticking with the original landing. I ended up detaching the third tanker from the space station and docking with it. Used it as a heat shield and also used its parachutes. Once the parachutes opened, I had to quickly transfer fuel around to make the craft balanced. Ended up with a great landing that only broke a landing leg. Got 2 million credits and a couple thousand science points from the mission!!!

This was all over the course of the past month. I feel so relieved finally finishing the mission.

I personally feel Neversoft has reached the limit of what they're current fighting engine can do.  Injustice 2 needs to be a complete overhaul of their combat system or else it's going to competitively die as fast as MK X.  Though I'm not quite too sure what they can do.  Maybe they should try 3D again.

Nintendo fans seriously need to get over Melee.  Move on, I mean, you don't see people playing Third Strike anymore (Though the pirate scene in the FGC for third strike, and in general, disgusts me).

Heh my brother is so amusing.

He just got disconnected from a For Honor match he was winning and blamed one of the opposing players of DDOSing him.

I seriously love for honor. It's amazing. It's so fudgy addictive. Already have 5 hours in it within just 2 days. It's just so good!

Agreed.

I haven't played it but I love the feel. Powerplay is cool too.
