Now it will reach that mark easily and most likely within a year's time. Can this outsell the PS3?
Maybe if it has time... I guess PS5 will come before it reaches 10 million.

Maybe if the PS5 comes out in 2020 instead of 2019. What favors the PS4 over the PS3 when it heads into its twilight years is that Sony can cut the price more easily.

yeah it certainly has a price advantage. i think based on how things are going PS5 will be a 2020 release. Sony are in no hurry to replace the PS4 and an extra year on the market as the main console can mean hundreds of millions of dollars in extra profit, while also having a better price and specs for the PS5, making the gap between the two bigger and justifying a new console release.

This kinda sounds like they just want to clear stock for a new bundle

This is what I'm expecting.

They over-shipped a lot of stock and had over 3 millionon the shelf at the turn of the year, as we know. Its likely they're clearing the way for (hopefully) Horizon bundles to be put on the shelves.

VR needs more thrilling experiences.
It's way more amazing than most people realize I think.
Wonder if/when we might see a PSVR price cut.

I still haven't tried VR. If there's lots of games made for PSVR I'll buy it but I'm not interested yet

Doubt we'll get a price cut this year. I think it should stay a premium price until the industry is larger or a better version releases.
