Edit: I can definitely buy a $50 PSN card through Amazon so that shouldn't be an issue

Hmm but that makes me wonder if a $50 card isn't enough due to tax being added afterwards on PSN US (dang, this is so stupid).

I never pay tax on digital purchases from the psn store... :/ I used too, but I don't' know if its just my state or what

The only issue is that you need to buy DLC for this game with your US account too but your UK account will can play everything.

Are you doing that because the censure?

Tax? I never paid that on PSN.

I picked it up for the left behind DLC I never got to play. I notice some huge graphical improvements immediately. First, when I got shot at (when tess shoots the dude guarding Robert in the head) i noticed blood rolling down Joels arm. Also, when you first get in the building and test says to patch yourself up you actually wrap bandages around your arm. If these are in the ps3 version I never noticed.

I'm playing on the new difficulty level... Anyone knows what this does? I notice no health bar but other than that I'm not sure what's different. I just got to the basement with tess before exiting the tower.

Hadn't thought about the censorship. Didn't really notice it in my European PS3 copy, but I guess I could add that to a list of reasons why I would go US over UK. My main reason for doing that is because it's cheaper

The noir filter with some film grain and black borders gives these shots a very creepy mood.  To me at least. :-p

Honestly haven't noticed yet. Runners aren't one hit either. I accidentally got two runners on me where you get the revolver and I let them kill me to start over.

Hmm, then it's likely just no HUD and slightly smarter AI thats not too noticeable of a difference.  Or the AI could be the same and it's just no HUD. :-p

The part where there are like 5 clickers and a couple runners in the tower is where I am. I tried to take out the first runner before the clicker but the clicker attacked me. So maybe better AI. But it also might have just been a poorly timed play on my part. I'm about to turn it on today and play through that part.
