Especially with the inclusion of paid online. Seriously, nobody is going to want to play that game if they also have to pay for online. That game got so many passes because "Nintendo."   people will pass because of the paid subscription (I hope people are this smart)

Splatoon 1 might have outsold Super Mario 3D World. Plus I think the human world in the new Mario looks ugly. That'll ding it some review point imo.

Meanwhile Splatoon feels like a rising IP. Plus Switch is built around local multiplayer and I think Splatoon will be the big game for that. Up to 8 Switches can be connected for local Splatoon play.
