Well the thing is, most people don't think its crud and were very happy about episode 7. Don't state your opinion like its a fact, when it in fact is a minority opinion.

7 was the first star wars I could actually get into and thought it was great.  I never really cared about star wars, but do have them DVR'd when they were on tv so I could watch them again.

Well I love star wars but I'd agree that 7 is probably the most accessible and that it is really great.

7 and Rogue One are definitely on opposite ends of the spectrum. You could start watching star wars at episode 7 and be perfectly fine but I think if you watched Rogue One without having seen the original trilogy you would be a little bit lost and wouldn't appreciate it anywhere near as much.

That's a good point actually, I'd recommend people watch at least the start of A New Hope before watching Rogue One. If ANH fresh in your mind you'll love the ending to Rogue One.

yeah i plan on watching them all even the prequels before watching rogue one.  Though I likely won't see it in theaters since I tend to mostly wait for movies to come out on digital or blu ray.  Think I'm gonna throw on some of A New Hope right now.
