FFXV did better than I expected. As did PS4 hardware. I made a thread for PS4 sales :D

FFXV did really bad in Japan.

For comparison, FFXIII sold 1.5 million on the PS3 first week.

Persona 5 sales were around 10% digital, so if we assume the same percentage for FFXV, cumulative PS4 FFXV sales would be 767K. Still a big drop down from FFXIII.

Big drop for ff but that was expected

Boutros made a good point. FF used to appeal to both the casuals and core gamers, but now that Square has been pushing mobile, a lot of the casuals have migrated to FF mobile games. So we're left with the core FF audience, which is still pretty big.

From VGC but their Japan sales are pretty reliable since they basically take them from famitsu and media create. PS4 ahead of Ps3 when launch is aligned

basically the same deal they did last year. cut 50$ off for two weeks in december. today i was actually wondering if they will do such a deal.

PS4 is gonna sell gangbusters in the USA this holiday.

PS4 is ahead since Pro launch or before... this gaph is not reliable I guess.

VGChartz data combines famitsu and media create. Famitsu has PS4 at about 100k less than MC so that's why their graph has PS3 ahead.
