I'm incredibly excited for Horizon. I could really see this being a huge game.

the-pi-guy

Same.  The game looks fricking amazing.

The last game that I was this excited for, was probably The Last of Us.

yeah this can be big. but it needs to click with the more casual crowd. the core seem to be excited for it, media and press as well. but how it fares with the mass market is yet to be seen. review scores will also be crucial, if this scores a 90+, it can go on to be massive.

I don't think I've ever been more excited for any game before

Oh my gosh David Jaffe is going off against Kyle Bosman on the stream right now.

Let's first have them release some of this stuff before proclaiming this.

A lot of credit has to go to third parties, too.

True, true

But to be fair and give credit where it's due, Sony has definitely been able to run circles around the other first parties when it comes to identifying and marketing games that the core goes crazy about. Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky (even though that kinda backfired), Horizon, FF7:Remake, God of War, Spiderman, Death Stranding and now TLOU2 are all things the gaming community completely lost their mind over. Nintendo has this as well but not to this degree and MS hasn't had something similar in years now.

Sony stumbled out the gate but they've definitely found their stride. It feels like the height of last gen.

It definitely feels that way, early 2017 is just looking insane.

Horizon

I was listening to a podcast with Shinobi on and he was saying that the higher ups at Sony believe Horizon Zero Dawn is the best first party game they currently have in development.

They wouldn't really know the quality of all their games at this point though. I'd say it probably has the most sales potential, the mainstream will be really interested in this.
