Quote from: DerNebel on Sep 15, 2016, 09:40 PMPersona 3 is great imo. Tokyo Mirage Sessions is the one that sticks out like a sore thumb to me, though even that wasn't bad on a system level, it was just that the setting was awful.
I'll have you know that I think Tokyo Mirage is the second greatest Persona made.  Good day sir!

God, don't remind me. "That one channel analysed the E3 demo and have concluded that the story is actually way deeper than it first appears"...give me a break.

I probably have posted something like this in the past.

I see a lot of comments that Nintendo should push a regular powerful console.  I don't think it's really in their best options.  We already have 2 other systems that fit that criteria, and at this point they're going to be the preferred options for a lot of people.  And those other systems have shown far better push for 3rd party titles.  Even if Nintendo was able to get all the same 3rd party titles, I still think most people would prefer to get those experiences on PS4/XBO.

How many people would play The Witcher 3 on a Nintendo system instead of on PS4/XBO?  I really don't think a lot.  I think Nintendo is kind of screwed in this way.
I think most of the people who want to play those kinds of experiences are most likely going to get a PS4/XBO.

On the flip side; what's the point of making hardware if not for third party licensing money?  People aren't going to buy third party on the NS regardless.  They're going to most likely sell the NS at cost or at a loss, cause more than 250 (Hell 199 is probably too high) and the thing is dead in the water.  Let's be frank, Nintendo doesn't need to sell hardware to sell their games...

I feel like they could manage as long as it sold great. Imagine if Wii could do near PS360 graphics. It would have severely cut into the other systems's sales.

A strong Nintendo system won't sell because it's strong, but it can still profit off the move in the long term. They just need to build back consumer interest and third party support first.

So what do you guys think of the rumoured 250 price point for the NS?  Can Nintendo pull of what Nintendo and Sony failed to do 5 years prior?  I personally think the soccer mom's won't buy it.

Nintendo wants us to think it's a home console.

It's better than the Wii U.
The biggest thing, is that the games come.

The internet seems really happy with the Switch.  Pretty surprising.

250 would be nice. I could see them wanting that since Wii launched at 250.

But as a portable, that's still a lot.

at $250 it will do okay but...

...soccer moms.   lol
