Oculus' Palmer Luckey is funding an anti-Hilary shitposting org - NeoGAF

Quotehttp://www.thedailybeast.com/article...e-machine.html
QuoteOculus founder Palmer Luckey financially backed a pro-Trump political organization called Nimble America, a self-described “social welfare 501(c)4 non-profit” in support of the Republican nominee.

QuoteAlong with Luckey, Nimble America was founded by two moderators of Reddit’s r/The_Donald, which helped popularize Trump-themed white supremacist and anti-Semitic memes along with 4Chan and 8Chan. A questionnaire to become a moderator at r/The_Donald posted in March had applicants answer the questions “Is there a difference between white nationalism and white supremacy?” and “Was 9/11 an inside job?”

GAF is super pissed.  There's a thread on both the gaming and off topic sides.
A lot of people are denouncing buying Oculus Rift.

The thing above is so bizarre.  The whole thing.  I don't even know...

This topic hit 13 pages on GAF so far, but the gaming thread about this has hit 60 pages.
Wowza.

I don't really know what Facebook/Oculus can do at this point.

This has exploded.  His gf's twitter is gone.

They are going to lose a lot of support if they don't drop Palmer.

I'd imagine so.
Why would they face worse consequences? Facebook is basically his boss.

QuoteI am deeply sorry that my actions are negatively impacting the perception of Oculus and its partners. The recent news stories about me do not accurately represent my views. Here's more background: I contributed $10,000 to Nimble America because I thought the organization had fresh ideas on how to communicate with young voters through the use of several billboards. I am a libertarian who has publicly supported Ron Paul and Gary Johnson in the past, and I plan on voting for Gary in this election as well. I am committed to the principles of fair play and equal treatment. I did not write the "NimbleRichMan" posts, nor did I delete the account. Reports that I am a founder or employee of Nimble America are false. I don't have any plans to donate beyond what I have already given to Nimble America. Still, my actions were my own and do not represent Oculus. I'm sorry for the impact my actions are having on the community

i remember reading zuckerberg's statement on the black lives matter a while ago and i believe he is a good guy. things as they are i hope palmer is removed.

Even Phil Fish is backing off of Oculus support.
Quote"In a political climate as fragile and horrifying as this one, we cannot tacitly endorse these actions by supporting Luckey or his platform," Polytron said in a statement. "In light of this, we will not be pursuing Oculus support for our upcoming VR release, Superhypercube."

The issue isn't that he supported Trump.

He basically founded a white supremacist organization.
