That can't be a good thing.
It was probably Sony's idea for them to make a F2P game and it's Sony's responsibility for them to promote the game. Kill Strain is an average game so that doesn't help.

Evolution Studio's is another victim of trigger happy Sony even though Drive Club turned into a brilliant game and they consistently delivered solid games like WRC and Motorstorm. Meanwhile Polyphony Digital doesn't produce enough, constant huge delays iced up GT5 but they get a free pass.

GT5 also sold 12 million copies so it's not hard to understand why PD gets a free pass, I wouldn't close the studio that produces my biggest IP either.

I think Evolution did a great job with Driveclub in the end, but the game just didn't stick with most people after the botched launch.

As for Sony pushing Sony San Diego towards F2P, I really don't know about that.
