I think Sony said something along the lines of "4K-like fidelity".

I think they are at a higher resolution than 1080 then upscaled to 4K. Somebody will have to confirm that though. I don't think the spec is anywhere good enough to do native 4K gaming but we pretty much knew that in advance.

Ah, ok.  I figured it wasn't powerful enough for native 4k.  I have two ps4's and no 4k tv so it doesn't really matter for me anyway.  I was just curious.

But it will benefit "Pro Mode" games in different ways if you are using a 1080p TV.

Horizon, Uncharted 4, watch dogs 2, and mass effect are enough for me to want to get PS4 Pro.  I wonder if The Last Guardian will have anything beyond a res bump.  i assume all sony exclusives will.

For me, the majority of my PS4 library is niche games. A lot of games I'm planning to get in the future are also niche, so I'm not not going to benefit much from the Pro's additional power.

Holly crud I just checked out the horizon 4k video. Even though my screen isn't 4k that still looks really good.

The tomb raider video looks good but I wasn't overwhelmed by the last entry.

I don't see much reason for getting the slim over the pro, unless that 100 bucks is really going to kill you. But at that point i'm not sure you should be buying a system at all.

Well it's not only about 4k, every game going forward will be improved over the Normal ps4. Even if all they did was downsample from 4kish it will be a big jump on what you see on the tv.
