Don't think this will be an actual game, but some of the Lumberyard images look amazing.
Also gives a bit of a bloodborne vibe.

Has Amazon done any customization on the graphics or is identical to standard Cryengine?

They've added some features and stuff, but I think it's pretty much identical aside from those few things.

The codebase is still solidly CryEngine.
The biggest thing the update notes have is VR support along with some things that go with that.

Spoiler for Hidden:

UI is pretty much the same.  (Cryengine on top, Lumberyard on bottom.)

On a different note, I really wonder if Amazon is going to make games out of these.

Spoiler for LumberyardAdvertising:

That middle one has a cool art style.

Have you messed around with reflection probes and things like that yet?

No I haven't.  :-\
I'm pretty clueless to most of this stuff, yet.

The thing in the Cryengine screen is a reflection probe. At least in Unity they're mostly automated and pretty simple to setup.

Just did some reading.  Yeah, pretty easy setup.

Overwatch free weekend on consoles coming up. Anyone gonna try it out?

Not a good weekend for me, unsurprisingly.

Hyper Light Drifter Wii U and Vita Ports Cancelled | Dev Health and Engine Concerns - NeoGAF

Quote/ Just came through on the kickstarter update. Native ports were not an option for Vita/Wii U so Hyper Light Drifter would have had to been recreated from scratch in a new engine. Doing that and keeping the main game updated was going to be too much work and was negatively impacting the developer health.  Video breaks it down very well.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFvz...ature=youtu.be

So what happened to Crytek?  Did they give up and fold?

Star Citizen uses CryEngine and are funding engine development as the game needs it.

Crytek is safe at least until SC releases.
