They've been hiding that shame for as long as I can remember. Anyways it's not difficult to see how Sonys division is financially successful, market leader with a piece of hardware that they've probably been selling for a profit for some time now, high  PS+ revenue due to somewhat forcing users to adapt it, extra revenue from stuff like Vue or PS Now, minimizing wasted resources by abandoning failed products like the Vita or not putting any marketing resources behind games like The Tomorrow Children, which likely has no chance of being a hit in the first place, smart marketing deals etc.

From a financial standpoint the PS division is very well run at the moment, it's just that some of these smart financial decisions lead to certain outburst of dissatisfaction from their userbase, most of that stuff is fairly quickly forgotten however. This PS+ price increase will probably linger for some time if PS+ games don't improve somewhat, I can already imagine the childish shitstorm that will ensue if Septembers games don't please forums.
I'm assuming they can't be good.  They give numbers and revenues, but they don't give the important info.  What the actual costs of the running the division is.  Everything is buried so we don't know what's costing what.  For all we know the game division is keeping the Surface afloat.  Or vice versa.

Yeah they've put Xbox together with Windows licensing by now, ensuring that they'll never have to show people actual Xbox profits.
