The fudge. Hope it's not increasing in Europe

Wait, wasn't it 59 before?

Nothing on the European blog at this point.

Also to everyone complaining about this: You have nobody but yourself to blame. You accepted the multiplayer requirement the moment it happened and jumped on PS+ without thinking twice. People shouldn't have put up with this shame in the first place.

On a more positive note, I think we all know that you'll never actually have to pay this sum if you are a bit savvy and keep looking out for deals, which happen a couple times a year anyways.

Yeah, this is rather BS. Why do this?

Good thing I'm primarily single-player oriented...

But what if we had PS+ subscriptions before PS4, and even still complained about multiplayer becoming mandatory?

You could have cancelled your subscription. But I agree that in that situation you are less to blame, I'm mainly talking about the people that used to love posting on forums how much better the PS3 was than the 360 because it had free online, that then didn't even think twice about flip flopping on that stance the moment Sony introduced the payment requirements for MP.

Now it's too late, people online can claim that they'll drop PS+ now but I think we all know that most of them won't, cause if you actually take a step back and think about it, then $10 in a year is way too insubstantial to make you do that. Some might drop the subscription, but a lot of those people will likely pick one up again once the next big multiplayer title they want to play drops.

People will baby about this today and then forget about it anyways, only to bring it up again once a month when PS+ games are announced. But it won't change anything about Sonys bottom line other than making it grow.

A $10 price increase to make it identical to XBOX GOLD isn't really that bad, truth be told.

Excluding the fact that as of lately most people online have been frustrated with the service already. It's just adding insult to injury which is stupid. If the past few months had AAA games for PS+, the reaction to this would have been miniscule imo.

I actually doubt that, cause people don't seem to be able to even remember the last month of PS+, they had the newest entry in one of the biggest sports series out there on offer two months ago, but somehow nobody seems to even remember that. But every PS owner seems to remember every month of GWG, cause they constantly bring up all these "AAA" games on GWG (aka mostly mediocre retail releases that they'd normally never even think to play) while also always acting like a game ceases to be given away the moment it's not available on the current gen console ("MS gives away 4 games per month, Sony only gives 2 hurrdurr").

What if you did cancel your subscription?

BTW - you can easily just buy a couple of years for 60 bucks (total. Not each) before price increase and not worry about it for a long time

You're a poor sucker that fell victim to everybody else just accepting the essential $50 price increase to MP (which actually makes it even funnier that this $10 is now apparently such a dealbreaker).

I don't think America got that game.
