The planet rotations are even more odd than I expected haha. The sun, stars, and planets all "rotate" at a different rate around the planet the player is on.

Still not sure if the planets spin at all. If they do it's really slow.

Well do you plan to play it or look at the box?

I was planning to return it. But I opened it now. I'll just sell it if I hate it.

Impressions are great in the Icelandic ps4 Facebook group. But that's mostly casuals obviously

What are your super early impressions?

I like it so far, It took me a good amount of time to fix my ship and get off the planet I started on. And when I did I couldn't help but to feel I've left something behind. I started on a cold planet, So you constantly have to keep up with you're suite, often using resources I needed to fix my ship. But I could also run into caves that had normal temps and allowed my suite to recharge itself.  Thanks to finding intelligent life I was able to trade with them for the resources I couldn't find for my ship. Who know's how long it would have taken to find the rest of the plates I needed with out that, I only found one on the planet, I had to buy the rest of them. Good thing the most common element on the planet paid quite a bit. So I'd farm that and sell it to them to buy the other stuff I needed.

I don't like the ship controls. But that's not saying much as I prefer flight sticks for my flight games anyway. Which makes me think I should have gotten it on pc.

Even though I've only been to my started planet and the planet next door to it and a dead moon I don't think this game is really about space flight as it is about planet exploration and don't starve style survival. Which would explain why it's so easy to fly between planets and why they are so abundant.

For gamers like us this game makes sense, but to the casuals i'm not sure they'll get it.

yup, im enjoying it alot so far.    I started for 15 minutes early in the day, but i have a flu or food poisoning so i turned it off..  didnt realize you need to reach save points so i had to restart.. no biggie my first planet was poisonous and hostile,   my new game was on a lush green world.  I made my way to grab the upgrade stuff so i could fix my ship, harvesting anyhting that i thought might be worth it lol  when i got the stuff i needed, i had a 7 minute trek back,  that took an hour cause i decided to explore and check out some of the ? marks on the map.

i found tons of iron so i could completely repair my ship..   then i found platinum storage containers..   detroying even 1 will have sentinels after you..   so i started to test it..  and its easy enough to make a smash and grab and book it before they get you..   I managed to get over 100k worth of stuff to sell for whenever i would find a place,  which was luckily very quick after going into space lol

Im on a break to smoke, and took the time to put in the key for the preorder stuff.   My biggest gripe is the tiny dog inventory lol

Mmm_fish_tacos

Yeah the inventory level sucks

I just spent like 10 minutes outside of a space station Mining and made like a hundred 100k
