Quote from: darkknightkryta on Aug 04, 2016, 10:40 PMNice.  I'm just waiting for my dad to come back from vacation.  I asked my painter friend what paint I should use.  He said to use an eggshell based paint.  Though it's expensive.  Homedepot was selling it for 50 bucks a can.  Though it was only one colour so it might have been fancy.  I may be able to get one mixed for cheaper.
Look for mix rejections, they usally mark them down a hood bit. Maybe theyll have a color you like.

Also got the home, share and options buttons working.

It even works for the arcade archive games!

I got a quart for 20.  We put the hinges in... It's beautiful.  My dad is gonna paint it for me tomorrow while I'm at work.  He said he was going to drill the acrylic for me.  It's almost done.  Just need my art and the wiring.

Done painting, going to take pics soon.  Well done two coats. Might need a third with a roller.

I know.  I feel like I should have tried spray paint instead.

So its done. Minus the part i need to model and 3d print.

Theres a warp in the top. Im thinkinh about remaking it out of mdf.

You can see where it lifts up, and the cut out area needs that 3d printed part I talked about.

Oh I also put the little feet pads things from the mini.

I sort of see the warp.  Not too bad.  You can always make the top out of sheet metal, or acrylic.

Dear god, I've been OCDing on trying to figure out how to create an electronic piece that lets me use arcade games on a regular TV.

Finished my first coat of prime on my control panel.  Have to wait 2 hours till the next coat.  Thing sticks.  I couldn't get it off my hand and I made the mistake of trying to wash it off the roller I was using.

Put in the second coat.  Gonna paint it after work tomorrow.  It looks like the prime will go over the paint that I did before.  I stripped the outside of my control panel so it doesn't matter, but for the inside I just primed over the paint that I did.  I figure I'd try it out and see how it works.  If the paint takes, I'm going to just prime over the base I made and repaint it.  Hopefully I'll have the control panel done tomorrow and I can get the wiring done.

Ugh, I noticed it in pictures, but I thought it was just the angles, but the player 2 set of buttons are off.  The black buttons are half a centimeter off.  I can run my pinky through, but I can't on the other side.  :'( this is going to bug me.  Oh well.  Player, select and home buttons are off too.
