Konami reported its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2016. They included the fact that the Metal Gear franchise has sold more than 49.2 million copies as of March 31, 2016.

The results showed a small fall in revenue but an increase in profit.

"In terms of the consolidated results for the three months ended June 30, 2016, total revenue amounted to ¥49,417 million (a year-on-year decrease of 3.5%), operating profit was ¥9,089 million (a year-on-year increase of 40.2%), profit before income taxes was ¥8,419 million (a year-on-year increase of 22.7%), and profit attributable to owners of the parent was ¥5,814 million (a year-on-year increase of 35.8%)," said Konami.

LEGO BUILDS ON SUCCESS

'Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens' (+1%) makes it 5 consecutive weeks at No1 equalling the record for chart topping Lego titles.

It now stands alongside 'Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes', which first achieved the feat in 2012. A price promoted 'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' (+94%) rises four places up to No2 while 'Grand Theft Auto V' (+37%) climbs a place to No3. No new releases grace the charts this week but the start of the summer holiday provides a welcome boost to the Top 40. 'Ratchet & Clank' (+143%) is one of the major beneficiaries rocketing twenty-three places to No10. Following the recent launch of mobile app Pokemon Go 3DS title 'Pokemon Alpha Sapphire' (+95%) is the biggest climber in the franchise moving up an impressive fourteen places to No11.

What's there to be hyped about? It's a slim that's not even cheaper than the normal current version of the console. Oh and it's a 4K bluray player, but lol who even buys 4K blurays?

People are buying it, that's what's important, it's not really something to make a fuss about.

Yeah.  I got Batman/Superman in 4k.  I just need a new video card with the proper HDMI out for 4k.  I've had this 4K TV for maybe 6 months now, but I have no way to try out 4k content.  So I just picked this up in 4k and am just waiting.
