Yeah cap is 8 which sucks. There's not much content in terms of story missions right now either.

Dr. Pezus

dang, so only 2 levels remaining for me.

@Raven: you and double-D weren't big deals yesterday when I was playing ;o

Dr. Pezus

@Xevross: Well, there's still quite a bit of content considering it's a beta.

OT: I hope they can stabilise the FPS a bit. Seems to drop at times.

Anyone notice how gun play feels like kill zone only a lot better?

Btw no noticeable frame drops for me.

Xevross

Yes I noticed that. I think its because this has aim assist :P

Dr. Pezus

I'm not saying it's bad but when trying to aim every little bit of drop can be annoying

I think it's because it feels weighted. Swivel on a stick of call on duty and halo is gone. It feels more satisfying to shoot and harder to master. Usually I'm playing a high sensitivity, I turned it up to 5, had to turn it back to 3.

Xevross

When I first started the crucible I was doing terrible (mid way down team and only 2000 points) but now I've geared up, got a semi auto and gone back in. I'm topping the leaderboard and getting about 4k points each game.

I down't know how to put this, but I'm a bigger deal ;)

Yeah swivelling is harder. I'm going to work on trying to get used to higher sensitivities. I've been playing this whole time on 6 but I might try higher.

Dr. Pezus

Maybe that's part of it but there are definitely some drops. Just can't confirm that without a DF analysis or something. I've been playing Metro 2033 on PC at around 60FPS the past few days so it's difficult to adjust

I got over 4k my first match, was awesome from the start, and didn't need to go upgrade. Suck it. :p

QuoteUnfortunately, the beta version of Destiny continues to show signs of an uneven spread of frames, which while averaging out at the promised 30fps, produces a judder sensation to lateral camera movement. As a shooter played largely from the first-person view, the camera pivots more aggressively than most games, making this issue easier to pick out. It's very much playable, but we feel Bungie is doing itself a disservice given its in-house engine is clearly capable of pushing out a rock-solid frame-rate.

The outlook isn't wildly different for the Crucible multiplayer experience. Having played domination matches on the Shores of Time temple stage, plus across the lunar base seen in First Light, it's clear fluctuations between 16ms and 60ms are an issue for controller response here too. These are the only maps in rotation as of writing, though an additional pair of online arenas are promised.

Same Alpha performance... so some drops.
