dang... no ill have to watch later

Glad to see LI Legend in there and winning his first match up but I don't think he has what it takes to beat Fuudo or Infiltration. Was hoping PR Balrog and/or Justin Wong would have made it into Top 8. I feel like they were the best bets for the US to win SF5 at EVO.

Legend

So cool watching on tv.

Yeah, I don't know how Justin lost.  Balrog... I don't know.  He hasn't been on the top level for a while.  Ricky shouldn't have gotten that naughtiness change.  He hasn't been top since he started the hormone therapy.  Chris Tatarian losing was a shocker.  I'm sad Tokido lost though.  It sucks cause Infiltration is going to win, so it makes watching almost pointless.

How is it?  Does it look nice or is there that streaming macro blocking?  Is someone else doing commentary on ESPN?  David Chen and someone else are on commentary on the stream.

I think once Balrog gets more time with his main he'll be more dangerous. He only had two weeks with him and he hadn't even fully come to his conclusion on the character until right before EVO. Apparently, he plays a lot different than SF4 so he's having to re-familiarize himself. It certainly makes more sense to see Balrog than Legend in Top 8. Yeah, Justin Wong not being in Top 8 made my jaw drop. Kind of a shame Tokido got eliminated after his upset over Infiltration in the last big tournament they played. Am I the only one who thinks Daigo is beyond his prime? I mean, I keep hearing how legendary and amazing he is but he seems to just lose well before the end of a tournament.

Also, I had no idea Ricky Ortiz was a tranny.

Legend

Looks like standard tv.

No clue who is announcing.

How many twitch viewers?

About 175,000 just on the official EVO stream. There are about 200,000 viewers for SF5 in total on Twitch right now.

Thing with Daigo is that he sees options as he plays.  So Daigo can make things happen.  Daigo can be very dangerous when he's focused.  Daigo was doing pretty bad in Super and Ultra.  But last year for Capcom Cup, he destroyed everyone in his path to get to the finals.  He lost in the finals, but that was a bad matchup for Daigo.  I also don't think Daigo trains as much as Tokido though.  Like, Tokido's Ryu is way better.  But, when they played at Evo.  Daigo was just seeing opennings and just making stuff happen.  Like he's quick to react.  He literally reacted to Tokido as Tokido's Ryu was falling.  He V triggered into a Shinkuu Hadouken to win the match.  It was creazy and I didn't think he would even connect that.  But his Ryu isn't nearly as good and eventually lost.

I guess the japan stream?  Smash was at 250k I think for the finals.  I doubt Street Fighter will do it.  Oddly enough Smash Wii U's viewership was abysmal.  Like, how hipster are Nintendo fans?  You don't see people still playing Third Strike.  I mean, why not play the n64 Smash.  Be even more hipster.

This crowd is unreal though.  It's pretty full.  Capcom Cup's final wasn't even this full.  Maybe Sony's going to move Capcom Cup's final to Evo Japan.

I don't know. It just seems like every time I see Daigo he's losing and all I hear is, "THE BEAST! DAIGO UMEHARA!". I'm like, "Umm... the beast just got slayed..."

Yeah. Smash Bros kinda irritates me. If it was up to me, Melee would have been removed from EVO a long time ago. It really should be the latest version of a franchise and that's it. The fact that Smash gets two different games at EVO where another game could be in its place is a shame. Like, why is BlazBlue not at EVO instead?
