I like the idea of keeping the button board. It keeps heat away from the important stuff on the actuall pcb. Make soldering much easer because its spread out.

I know .  I still don't know if I should get the ps360+ board or the Brook board.  One gives me great PS4 support.  The other gives me Dreamcast support.  Decisions, decisions.  (Yes I still play Capcom vs SNK on Dreamcast.)

So the PS360s are cheaper at arcadeshock.com.  Brook with the breakout board is about the same price.  I might just get the wiring at focusattack and the boards/wires at arcadeshock

Nevermind, with the wiring I need from focusattack, it comes out to the same.

2x ps360s (54.99 each), 2x PS2 rj45 cables (10ish each), 2x Dreamcast rj45 cables (10ish each), 2x 16 pc 0.188 quick disconnect wires (I think those were 10 each), 1x 30pc ground wiring (7ish I think), 2x rj45 cables (To connect to passthroughs, 3 bucks total), and 2x rj45 to USB cables (10ish each).  40 dollars shipping, plus conversion and you're looking at me being poor.  It was 210usd in total.  280cad

I figure, go big or go home.  I want this done right.  Already spent 80 on the buttons.

I just don't knnow if I have to strip the wires for the ps360's screw terminals.

Depends on how smooth you want it, If you don't care too much about perfrect I'd go with a sponge roller, If not then some quality spray paint will work. Don't forget to prime it.
