ENCINITAS, Calif. — Two men apparently fell from a cliff above a beach near San Diego on Wednesday while they were playing Pokémon Go, according to KSWB.
 The men were playing the game in Encinitas when they fell more than 75 feet to the beach below. According to officers, the men got distracted while trying to catch Pokémon.
 Crews at the scene used a rope to rescue one of the men. Neither man was seriously injured.

In 2001, Nasr Fareed, Egypt's then grand mufti, the country's highest Islamist official, banned the Pokemon franchise, saying it is un-Islamic allegedly for promoting Charles Darwin's controversial theory of evolution.

The game has also provoked condemnation in Saudi Arabia where the Higher Committee for Scientific Research and Islamic Law issued a fatwa against the game, describinh it as "possessing the minds" of children while promoting Zionism and gambling.

Sorry. Last Pokémon Go article because I'm sick of posting them. But, this is news, and newsworthy.

 

We estimate that yesterday just under 26 million Americans played Pokémon GO on Android and iOS. This is unprecedented for a mobile game, and makes it a top 10 app by daily active users. More people use the maps in Pokémon GO (which is powered by Google Maps) than use Google Maps itself.

 

 

Pokémon GO's early retention results couldn't look much better. Roughly 7 out of 10 people who download the game return to it the next day. For context, the average rate of next-day return (usually termed "D1 retention") for games is closer to 3 out of 10 returners.

 

 

When talking about Pokémon GO it's hard not to resort to hyperbole. The game's ability to make money is no exception. We estimate Pokémon GO's average revenue per daily active user (ARPDAU) at around $0.25. This is twice the average for casual games, and higher than even the famously profitable Candy Crush Saga. That is incredible.

I'm okay with that!  But honestly that movies is annoying to no end to me.  I don't know what it is about it.  Maybe it's cause I don't care for Tom Hanks all that much.

The game is both amazing and lame at the same time...

It is amazing how you catch the Pokemons but it is lame that you can't battle, level up, etc.

The best way could be a simple battle system where you need to weak the Pokemon before catch it with do points to level up and reach evolutions of these Pokemons.

It could be perfect.
