On another note, the switches weren't cherry, they were e.  Don't know how I didn't notice.  I guess my stick was a lot louder than the buttons.

I'm leaning on using the 8 button setup.  I'm spending a lot of time keeping the Capcom layout while adding the extra buttons.  

I'm probably going to use this for the control panel image.  The black buttons will look nice with this white background.


It's squished cause I scaled the image wrong.  Full size image is huge.

Hard?  The buttons are soldered right into the board.

The board might become useless.  But I'm sure you're way better at desoldering than I am.

Well the board the button attach to isn't even needed. So even if I do screw it up I can still use the ribbon from the actual board Even though That might be a huge pain in the dog as well. Well see, it's only 40 bucks, if it doesn't work, oh well.

Yeah.  There's also a sale going on right now for Brook's universal board, 10 bucks off.  Support at Focus Attack also told me they're having a sale on Friday for their boards 20% off, I'm not sure if it's all of them.  Arcadeshock.com also has the brook fightboard with a breakout board.  Paradise arcade also has brook with a good breakout board.  Those are 50 at both sites.  I'm going to pick up a PS360+ if they go on sale.  arcadeshock.com is also having a 15-20% off EVO sale depending on what you buy.  PS360+ plus all the wires takes the 20% off.  Brook universal with nothing doesn't.

got it, had to try it out before  I break it. It's okay for a starter stick. If you don't want to drop 200 on a good one, this one will do for 40 bucks.

Okay. I got everything out. Unfortunately I cracked the button board and lost the use of L2. If I do this again I can get it out with out damage which would make this mod pretty easy, like super easy.

Anyway I got all the pins the the ribbon mapped and can just solder L2 to that If I want or I can use it for all the buttons.

Fancy you can cut the cables and solder right to the ribbon on the control pcb no?
